Where to find the “Bond” button in SOUNDBOKS 4 and 3?
You'll find the “bond” button easily:
It’s on the back of your SOUNDBOKS, in the same panel where you connect AUX cables. Positioned right at the top of the panel
The “bond” button is your gateway to advanced functions in JOIN-mode, giving you even more control and options.
Understanding the BOND button (SOUNDBOKS 4 and 3)
When your SOUNDBOKS 4 or SOUNDBOKS 3 is in JOIN-mode, the “bond” button will light up in different colors: green, red, or orange/amber.
If you're connecting to a new HOST with your speaker in JOIN mode, the “bond” button starts in orange/amber. After 30 minutes of connection, it turns green, signalling it's in "Green List" mode, meaning it remembers the host. It can remember up to 10 different HOST speakers.
To exit "Green" mode and open up for new connections, quickly click the BOND button twice (double-click), turning it back to orange/amber. It's now ready to connect with a new HOST. The orange/amber light will dim while searching for a new HOST and brighten when connected to one.
If there are other HOST SOUNDBOKS speakers in range that you don't want to connect to, double-click the “bond” button, then wait for another new HOST to connect. Repeat 2 clicks to cycle through available hosts until it connects to the HOST you want.
To search for a "Green Listed" HOST while in green mode, just single-click the “bond” button. It will begin searching through the saved Green List of HOST speakers.
To reset all settings and clear green listed speakers, simply click the BOND button 6 times.
Where to find the “BOND” button in SOUNDBOKS Go?
The "Bond" button is marked with two arrows and is located right on top of the connect button on your SOUNDBOKS Go.
When your speaker is in JOIN mode, it has a "Green List" to remember your favourite transmitters.
Green Light:
It shows that you're connected to one of your favourites or actively looking for one. You can add a transmitter to your "Green List" by either holding down the bond button or simply listening to the unit for more than 30 minutes. To remove it from the "Green List," press the bond button twice.
Amber Light:
It means your speaker is actively searching for new potential HOSTs that haven't made it to your "Green List" yet.
