CH1/CH2 AND AUDIO INPUTS

What are CH1 and CH2?

The Pro Panel, located on the back of your SOUNDBOKS 4 & SOUNDBOKS 3, offers a reliable wired connection option for your devices. It features 2x 'XLR/6.35mm Jack' combo inputs known as CH1 and CH2, along with 1x 3.5mm AUX input and 1x 3.5mm AUX output.

CH1 and CH2 are balanced inputs, which means they can be used to connect various devices like DJ mixers, microphones, and more. If you're connecting a microphone, you can adjust the "mic gain" in the app to get your desired volume.

Why do CH1 and CH2 have different colours in the app?

The two channels, CH1 and CH2, are color-coded in the app to help you quickly identify which channel you're adjusting.Both channels function the same way; the color coding is simply for your convenience.

What are the audio inputs and which should I choose?

Both SOUNDBOKS 4 and SOUNDBOKS 3 allow you to connect different audio sources through the Combo XLR/TRS inputs on the physical speaker. You have three audio Audio input options that you can assign independently to each channel:

1. Line-in:

Ideal for DJ mixers, providing a clean signal.

2. Mic:

Already optimized with preset gain and frequency settings for microphones.

3. Guitar:

Similarly preset for guitars.

Mic and Guitar have preset gain and frequency settings, so that they are already optimized and you don’t have to worry about anything. Line-in, will provide you instead a clean signal (optimal for DJ-mixers).

My mic is plugged in but no audio is coming out?

If no audio seems to be coming out, you can try the following:

• Open the Pro Panel in the SOUNDBOKS app.
• Make sure you've selected "Mic" in the correct channel.
• Try adjusting the gain on the horizontal slider.

What happens if I play around with the Pro Panel but I have nothing plugged in?

Feel free to explore the Pro Panel in the app even if you don't have anything plugged in. It won't affect anything; no sound changes will occur unless you've connected a device.
