Range on Host/Join

When using the HOST/JOIN feature you want to make sure you have the best conditions for the wireless connection between your SOUNDBOKS speakers. There are a variety of ways to improve the range of the wireless connection, but the key rule is to position the SOUNDBOKS speakers so there is a clear line of sight from the HOST to each SOUNDBOKS on JOIN-mode:

Increase the height. To improve the range of the wireless connection, we suggest using a tripod to elevate the SOUNDBOKS speakers above head height (approximately 2.5m above the ground). This will limit the obstructions of the wireless signal and should significantly improve the range.
Indoors vs. Outdoors. You will experience a more reliable wireless connection indoors than outdoors. This is because in an indoor setting there are walls and structures for the signal to bounce off of compared to an open field where the signal has no structures to bounce off of. If you are using the speakers outside, we suggest putting the HOST next to a wall or large object (tree, car, etc.) to improve the wireless range.
Positioning. To avoid loss of connection, remember to keep the speakers positioned upwards (with the top hat facing the ground). Turning the SOUNDBOKS on its side, especially when in HOST mode will significantly decrease the reliability of the wireless signal.
Avoiding Obstructions. The best signal reliability will come when the obstructions are as far away from the SOUNDBOKS as possible. To increase the reliability, we suggest not sitting on the SOUNDBOKS when wirelessly connecting them.

Improving the acoustics in Team Up

Placing the SOUNDBOKS speakers close together will have an overall positive effect on the sound quality by improving the acoustics and increasing the bass.

Below are a list of recommended setups for outdoor use

All of the setups below are placed to maximize the wireless signal strength. Placing the SOUNDBOKS speakers back to back or side to side is the strongest positioning. These setups will also decrease the likeliness of obstructions interfering with the wireless signal connectivity. There are a limitless numbers of setups possible, but the ones below have been tested and approved by the SOUNDBOKS team both in reliability and acoustical ability.
