The SOUNDBOKS Go uses a custom-designed 12.8 V LiFePO4 battery. The battery is charged using a charger that converts the voltage of your wall socket (AC 110 V - 230 V) into DC 14.6 V.
The SOUNDBOKS Go uses the same battery as the SOUNDBOKS Gen. 2 and Gen 3. The SOUNDBOKS Go automatically converts 12.8V from the battery to 24V when needed in order to achieve higher volume with minimum distortion. This feature will be automatically enabled by intelligently sensing the music level.
If the music level is above a threshold level, the integrated 12.8-to-24V DC-DC converter powers up and supplies the voltage when it is needed. Everything happens automatically, which ensures that power losses are kept to the absolute minimum - you do not need to worry about anything else other than choosing the volume you want.
How to power the SOUNDBOKS Go correctly:
If you have bought your SOUNDBOKS with a Battery BEFORE June 2024 :
Using the charger and the battery simultaneously during high volumes may stress or damage the battery. We strongly recommend only using the battery to power the SOUNDBOKS, since this is what both the battery and the SOUNDBOKS were designed for.
The cable is built to charge the battery, not to power the SOUNDBOKS over long periods of time and at high volumes.
If you have bought your SOUNDBOKS with a Battery (USB-C) AFTER June 2024 :
Using the charger and the Newest of our batteries simultaneously during high volumes is now possible!
