SOUNDKLUB BENEFITS

WHAT IS SOUNDKLUB? 

SOUNDKLUB is an account you can create in the new SOUNDBOKS app in order to get access to certain added benefits. In the SOUNDKLUB release in the year 2020 the benefits are:

• SOUNDKLUB Limited Warranty
• Anti-Theft Lock feature

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Download the App in the Google Play Store or App Store, create an account, and register your New SOUNDBOKS. 

In order to register your SOUNDBOKS (Gen. 3), you:

• Own a SOUNDBOKS (Gen. 3)(We would love to make it available for the SOUNDBOKS 2, but unfortunately it is not possible with the SOUNDBOKS 2 electronics)
• Purchased your SOUNDBOKS (Gen. 3) at soundboks.com, or Hifi Klubben, or our official Amazon storefront. 
• Need your Invoice number and Order number which you find on the upper right corner on the invoice you got when you purchased your SOUNDBOKS (Gen. 3) at soundboks.com
• Need your Serial Number which you find on your SOUNDBOKS (Gen. 3) in the battery slot where the battery is placed.

THE SOUNDKLUB LIMITED WARRANTY

Your initial warranty varies depending on regulations within specific EU and non-EU countries, including but not limited to; England, Wales, Ireland, Sweden, and Norway.

However, when successfully registering your SOUNDBOKS (Gen. 3) within the period of your current legal guarantee, you will get 1 year of the SOUNDKLUB limited warranty added on top of your current legal guarantee. 

Starting from the 15th of December 2020, The SOUNDKLUB limited warranty will only be available for customers who bought their New SOUNDBOKS at soundboks.com or Amazon. 

We are currently working on a solution for other SOUNDBOKS (Gen. 3) users. Please make sure to join our waiting list in the App, in the registration process and once we’ve found a solution, you will be notified by email. 

E.g. If you bought your SOUNDBOKS (Gen. 3) at soundboks.com in December 2019 with an initial warranty of 2 years and you register your New SOUNDBOKS in October 2020, you extend your limited warranty with the SOUNDKLUB limited warranty until December 2022.

ANTI-THEFT LOCK FEATURE

When successfully registering your SOUNDBOKS (Gen. 3) in SOUNDKLUB, you are able to lock your SOUNDBOKS (Gen. 3) so that no one else can use it. 

• If you want us to notify you when you can register you can already now join a waitlist in the app and we will email you when its time. This is how you do it. 

1. Install the app and create an account
2. Start registering your soundboks and choose your Shop of Purchase
3. Join the Waitlist!

WHILE CONNECTED

When you have registered your SOUNDBOKS (Gen. 3), you can instantly lock and unlock your SOUNDBOKS (Gen. 3) while you are connected to it. When it is locked the LEDs on your SOUNDBOKS are blinking red indicating that it is locked.

REMOTE LOCK

You can also lock your SOUNDBOKS, even though you are not with your SOUNDBOKS and you are not connected to it. This is how it works:

• When you press to lock your SOUNDBOKS (Gen. 3), even though you are not connected to it, the lock will be pending and will lock when someone tries to connect to it with the new SOUNDBOKS app. Same goes for unlocking.

• When someone is connected to your SOUNDBOKS (Gen. 3) while you try to lock it, it will not lock until the next time when someone connects to it. Same goes for unlocking.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

You are still able to connect to the SOUNDBOKS via BLE and BT audio when it is locked. 

However, you will not be able to play music on it since the audio is turned off.

HOW TO ANTI-THEFT LOCK

While connected:

1. Connect to you SOUNDBOKS
2. Go to the “Devices” screen
3. Press “speaker unlocked”
4. Wait for it to load and voila, its locked!
5. When its locked, the LEDs on your SOUNDBOKS should be blinking red and the button in the product card in your app should say “speaker locked”

Remote lock:

1. Go to the “Devices” screen
2. Press “speaker unlocked”
3. Read the information in the “pop-up” and press the button to lock or unlock
4. The “speaker unlocked” button should now say “speaker lock pending”
5. Now, as soon as someone else tries to connect to your SOUNDBOKS with the SOUNDBOKS app, your SOUNDBOKS will lock. You will also get a push notification informing you that it’s locked.
