In Dance and Rave modes, the animation engine automatically fires high-intensity power events on detected musical drops. The Power Event Duration setting is a user-defined, beat-mapped multiplier that gives you precise control over the pacing of these automatic light responses.
It controls how long power events run in Dance and Rave. It has no effect in Chill or Uplight modes.
The 5 Multiplier Settings: Off (x0), Short (x0.5), Default (x1), Medium (x2), and Long (x3).
Setting it to Off: Disables all autonomous power events entirely. The background animation engine still runs, but without triggering those specific effects.
Setting it to Long: Ideal for high-BPM music because it extends the effects across more beats so they stay visible for longer.
Technical Note:
This duration is strictly beat-count based, not time-based. Because it relies on the beat rather than a fixed timer, the exact same multiplier will actually produce longer real-time, wall-clock effects during a slower 90 BPM track than during a faster 140 BPM track.
The FXPad effects, when triggered, will override the power events.
